Customers who hold a Free Travel / DSFA Pass can book on their chosen service by selecting the 'Free Travel Pass' option in the Passenger selection box. Customers are advised there is limited availability for Free Travel bookings online.

  • You can purchase the ticket above using our Journey Planner. Tickets can only be purchased up to 90 days in advance.
  • An allocation of bookings on all InterCity services can be reserved online without a fee for 'Free Travel Pass or valid ticket holders'. When this allocation is fully booked, all remaining seats can be reserved by 'Free Travel Pass or valid ticket holders' for €2.50 per journey.

Travel to Cork Airport with Bus Eireann

Take a seamless trip to Cork airport with Bus Eireann. You can now book your Bus Eireann ticket to Cork Airport with on irishrail.ie when booking onto Cork services. 

Prices for the Bus Eireann add-on start at €1.55. You will get a guaranteed seat and a comfortable luggage allowance. Making your trip from Cork Kent station to the airport even easier.

Bus stops include Cork Kent Station (Horgans Quay), Clontarf Street (Clayton), Cork City Hall, and Evergreen Rd (Presentation School).

Bus Eireann routes 225 and 226 provide a frequent service linking Cork Airport to Cork City Centre, Cork Bus Station and Cork Kent Railway Station. These routes operate every 30 minutes weekdays and every 60 minutes on Sundays and Public Holidays so you won't have to wait too long for your connecting bus.

How to book online

When purchasing your rail ticket simply navigate the 'Extras Page' and if available select 'Single Bus Eireann - Coach transfer between Cork Kent Station and Cork Airport'. Please note the add-on is only available to book from the following stations to Cork Kent Station:

Terms and Conditions

  • You must show a printed copy your Iarnród Éireann Booking Confirmation which includes the Bus Eireann add-on to the coach driver when boarding the coach
  • Your Bus Eireann add-on ticket is valid for the date specified
  • Your Bus Eireann add-on ticket is for travel on the next available service on Bus Eireann Route 225 and Route 226. It does not guarantee you a seat at a specific departure time
  • All passengers must be at the departure point 10 minutes prior to the departure of the coach
  • When traveling to airports please allow 180 minutes between coach arrival and flight departure time
  • You are allowed 1 piece of soft hand luggage with an addition of 2 medium cases (70cm x 30cm x 45cm, max 20kg each) or 1 large case (75cm x 50cm x 32cm, max 20kg). Excess luggage fees may apply
