Valid cards for the 50% reduced fares
The new Young Adult/Student card will going on sale until the 9th May, so the earliest we expect to see them in circulation is the 11th May, until then the only card in use will be the existing blue SLC (Student Leap Card)
Post 9th May all three cards will be valid – the existing SLC card’s expiry date is set up as 31/12/2022, so it won’t be valid as a flash ID past this date
The card used for the new Young Adult and Student is the same. The differences are on the personalised fields, so name, card type and expiry date, from a revenue protection point of view when used as a flash ID, the expiry date will be the one to watch out for.
