Position: Head of Finance, Infrastructure Manager’s Department
Location: Based in Inchicore, Dublin 8. (Hybrid working arrangements applicable, as per IÉ Remote Working policy).
Salary: €124k - €130K (Commensurate with suitable Qualifications & Experience)
Reports to: Director Infrastructure Manager with a functional report to the Chief Financial Officer
Contract Hours: 36-hour per week
Contract Duration: This role will be offered on a permanent basis with a 6 -month probationary period
Annual Leave Entitlement: 25 days initially, rising to 28 based on service
Availability: Immediate
We are now recruiting for a Head of Finance for the Infrastructure Manager’s Department. The Infrastructure Manager’s Department (IM) is made up of Engineering, Track, Access, Operations, and support functions. The teams are Civil Engineering, Signal, Electrical & Telecommunications Engineering, building & conservation, and Infrastructure Operations.
This role is an integral part of the IM Senior Management team with responsibility for leading and directing the finance function of the Infrastructure Manager business. The successful candidate will have a key strategic and leadership role, developing and managing strategic accounting processes across the IM function that deliver a safe, efficient, affordable network that supports a high performing railway
Essential Requirements:
- A professional accounting qualification, with a minimum of 10 years post qualification experience
- Director level experience in accountancy practice or Head of Finance in a large diverse organisation with construction experience preferred.
- Demonstrable strong financial and business management skills, including people management, commercial management, and financial control
- Experience & knowledge in Accounting (FRS102), reporting internally and externally, governance and regulatory compliance
- Strategic decision maker to influence policy decisions at business and company executive levels
- Experience in project and change management
- Experience & Knowledge in SAP ERP, Financial Controlling and Plant Maintenance Systems
