Systems Administrator
Location – Rosslare Europort, Wexford
Salary – CO4 €28,661.89 - €48,044.94
Applications are invited for the position of Systems Administrator in the Rosslare Europort. This role will report into the Operations Manager.
Irish Rail is leading the way in smart port technology, and we need a proactive and skilled Systems Administrator to support the next phase of our transformation in Rosslare Europort. As part of the team, you'll ensure the seamless operation of IT systems, including smart port technologies, Port CCTV, fleet telematics, and SAP PM, while maintaining cybersecurity measures.
Role Responsibilities
The Systems Administrator will play a key role in maintaining the IT systems and infrastructure at Rosslare Europort. This includes overseeing the integration and day-to-day operation of smart port technologies, port-related IT systems, and third-party service providers. The role involves ensuring seamless communication between internal systems and external technologies, while maintaining compliance with security protocols and operational standards. The Systems Administrator will also be responsible for troubleshooting, resolving issues, and ensuring the port's IT systems operate efficiently, securely, and in line with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage IT systems and networks, ensuring optimal performance.
- Oversee Smart-Port and port related systems, including defect management and support.
- Administer SAP PM to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
- Collaborate with suppliers, business users, and the IÉ CIO team to drive improvements and implement new technologies.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in systems or network administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and virtualization.
- Problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
Desirable
- Familiarity with port related IT systems and cybersecurity best practices.
