Rail travel for newly-arrived Ukrainian refugees

A free journey is being provided for newly arrived refugees from point of arrival into Ireland to ultimate destination for state or private accommodation
Iarnród Éireann advises refugees newly arrived to Ireland from Ukraine following its invasion that we will be providing a free single journey from your point of arrival into Ireland to your ultimate destination in either state or private accommodation.
To avail of this journey, please show the following at the ticket office of your departure station:
- A Ukrainian passport
- Evidence of arrival within the previous seven days to Ireland (e.g airline / ferry boarding card stub or confirmation email) OR
- Confirmation from a registered charity involved in the Ukrainian crisis response
We also remind all customers that you can make an optional donation to the Irish Red Cross efforts to support victims of the invasion of Ukraine as part of all online bookings on this website.
