What are the conditions of travel?

Customers who hold a Free Travel / DSFA Pass can book on their chosen service by selecting the 'Free Travel Pass' option in the Passenger selection box. Customers are advised there is limited availability for Free Travel bookings online.

  • You can purchase the ticket above using our Journey Planner. Tickets can only be purchased up to 90 days in advance.
  • An allocation of bookings on all InterCity services can be reserved online without a fee for 'Free Travel Pass or valid ticket holders'. When this allocation is fully booked, all remaining seats can be reserved by 'Free Travel Pass or valid ticket holders' for €2.50 per journey.

What are the conditions of travel?

Where there is doubt regarding the age qualification, it is the responsibility of the passenger or their guardian or parent to produce satisfactory evidence of age when requested by any Iarnród Éireann staff member. Amendments and cancellations are subject to the fare purchased ie Low, Semi Flexible, Flexible, First Class. 

Children under 5 years travel free in standard class on any Iarnród Éireann services when accompanied by a passenger holding a valid ticket, provided children do not occupy seats required for paying passengers. Failure to produce a valid ticket, appropriate ID or surcharge where necessary will result in a fine of €100 together with the relevant unpaid fare.

  • Customers must be in possession of a  TFI Young Adult (19-25 years) Leap Card or a TFI Student Leap Card to avail of student discounted tickets
  • Individual third level institution cards or ISIC cards are no longer accepted as valid forms of ID
  • Amendments and cancellations are subject to the fare purchased ie Low, Semi Flexible, Flexible, First Class
  • Failure to produce a valid ticket, appropriate valid ID or surcharge where necessary will result in a fine and the relevant unpaid fare.

Job Purpose

The ICT Service Delivery Security and Incident Manager will be part of the Service Delivery (SD) Team providing Information Communication Technology (ICT) support to the business and ensuring cyber and data security policies and protocols are implemented and adhered to. This role is pivotal in maintaining robust incident response procedures, managing cyber incidents, and ensuring continuity of ICT services to support business operations
The Security and Incident Manager will support all aspects of the ITIL Framework being deployed within the Service Delivery function as well as being the liaison with the Cyber Security team. Focus will be on creating and implementing a robust and measurable incident management process to manage the circa 1300+ service incidents logged per period as well as the required Cyber Security management including incident management, PEN test management, DR testing, asset management, Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Incident Response Plan (IRP) co-ordination and testing.
Reporting to the Head of ICT Service Delivery, the Security and Incident Manager will be a member of the Service Delivery Team striving towards implementing ITIL standards within the function and maintaining a secure infrastructure and network. The Security and Incident Manager will also support the management and reporting of all Change Requests, proactive security operations, KPI’s, SLA’s, OLA’s and underpinning contracts.

 

Essential Requirements

  • 3rd level education qualification in Computer Science, Business Studies or similar
  •  1-3 years ICT Incident management experience as either 1st or 2nd level support
  • Previous experience of working with 3rd party ICT suppliers
  • Ability to work on own initiative within team environment
  • Ability to identify and document defects and support solution implementation of same
  • Previous SLA\Contract management experience

Key Qualities (Knowledge, Skills & Experience):
Essential:

  • Expertise in cybersecurity incident response and threat management
  • 3rd level education qualification
  • Cyber Security certification
  • Extensive experience of working with 3rd party suppliers
  • 5-10 years of related and progressive experience combining SLA\Contract management, incident management, change management and cross functional working relationships
  • Experience of implementing problem management in an ICT Service Delivery environment
  • Experience managing cyber security incidents, Disaster Recovery and penetration testing
  • Expertise in cybersecurity incident response and threat management
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS 2, etc.)
  • Demonstrable experience of business continuity planning, co-ordination and testing
  • Expertise in cybersecurity incident response and threat management
  • Extensive expertise in Microsoft 365 Admin Centre and Office Based Licensing, Active Directory/Azure Active Directory including Entra ID
  • Proficient in management of encryption and antivirus solutions including the handling of endpoint imaging
  • Expertise in managing security and compliance within Microsoft 365 including Purview, Intune, Defender and Conditional Access policies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative within team environment
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple ICT services and suppliers and ensure delivery within agreed SLAs
  • Service, project and results-orientation, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High-energy work ethic, ability to drive change and deliver results
  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional teams to identify and document defects and support solution implementation of same.
