Rosslare Europort Operatives
Location: Rosslare, Co Wexford
Salary: €36,204.10/ annum–39hrs/week
Iarnród Éireann is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Rosslare Europort Operatives. The successful candidates will provide operational and customer services to the shipping companies operating from the terminal at Rosslare Europort.
Key responsibilities will include
- Assist in the safe and efficient loading and discharge of passengers and freight travelling on ferry services to and from the port.
- Assist with customer queries and processing of bookings.
- Mooring and un-mooring of vessels calling to the port.
- Passenger vehicle and freight vehicle marshalling within the Port.
- Provide ticket validation and guidance to passengers.
- General maintenance duties to maintain port facilities.
- Control of access to and from the port.
- Discharging of trade Vehicles and un-accompanied units from vessels.
- Loading and discharging of unaccompanied Freight trailers using tug master tractors.
- General operations and customer issues.

Requirements and Skills
Essential Requirements
- The successful candidate should have good administration and computer skills, verbal and numerical reasoning skills and the ability to work in a team
- The successful candidate should demonstrate good safety awareness skills and concern for safety.
- For passenger operations, there is a need to have good customer service skills and inter personal skills and enjoy working with people.
- The successful candidate will be expected to work flexible working hours
Desirable Requirements
- Full, clean driving License, H.G.V. License or previous experience operating port machinery an advantage.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
