Customers who hold a Free Travel / DSFA Pass can book on their chosen service by selecting the 'Free Travel Pass' option in the Passenger selection box. Customers are advised there is limited availability for Free Travel bookings online.

  • You can purchase the ticket above using our Journey Planner. Tickets can only be purchased up to 90 days in advance.
  • An allocation of bookings on all InterCity services can be reserved online without a fee for 'Free Travel Pass or valid ticket holders'. When this allocation is fully booked, all remaining seats can be reserved by 'Free Travel Pass or valid ticket holders' for €2.50 per journey.

Safety Executive - Rosslare Europort

Location: Rosslare Europort - Wexford
Salary: Exec B €54,110 - €65,781

Applications are invited for the position of Safety Executive with the Director of Health and Safety team of Iarnród Éireann.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support for Shared Services and Rosslare on cross-functional safety matters
  • To support in the management, monitoring and continuous development of the Safety Management Systems, Port Security and Marine codes for Rosslare Europort
  • Further Develop the Rosslare Europort Safety Standards as required
  • Build relationships with other Ports and share transferable lessons
  • Help develop and assist with delivery of safety improvement projects and workshops
  • Produce notices for safety departments
  • Help share learning across the organisation in support of creating a consistent approach to safety management and development
  • Carry our briefings and undertake risk assessments as required
  • Assist in the implementation of a Just Culture and Safety Leadership principles
  • Assist in the implementation of the CIRAS Confidential Reporting system

Essential Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of safety legislation and audit procedures
  • Good working knowledge of Safety Management Systems, Risk Assessments, Safety Statements and Method Statements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good planning and organising skills
  • Report compilation and documentation delivery through the MS Office suite
  • 3rd level Safety and Health qualifications or equivalent.

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Companies structure and business units
  • Working knowledge of Iarnród Éireann Safety Management Systems
  • Audit qualification
  • Investigation qualification
  • Post Graduate H&S experience or qualification
  • Familiarity with a working Port environment
  • Management experience within an engineering / rail operating environment

A competency-based interview will form part of this selection process. Candidates may be shortlisted on the basis of experience and/or application/CV.
