DART+ Project Manager
Role - DART+ Project Manager, Division – Capital Investments
Location – Inchicore
Salary – €91,235 - €94,417 (U06 – 3-year scale)
Duration – 3 year Fixed term contract
Responsibilities
- To assist the programme manager in the development and delivery of the capital investments programme
- To be responsible for the management of your area or scope of projects, and for ensuring their integration within the programme(s) of Capital Investments
- To be responsible for ensuring that projects are managed in accordance with defined project management and control procedures
- To be responsible for the ongoing implementation of appropriate project and contract control mechanisms and for their monitoring and reporting
- To manage all aspects of the development and delivery of a work package for a handover to the operation and maintenance unit
- To observe and comply with all IE, IM and Capital Investments policies, procedures, and standards
- To facilitate compliance with the company’s safety management system
- To undertake and manage incident investigations as requested
- Regularly review risks relevant to your role both occupational and assets related
- To ensure that all projects are properly authorized and progressed in accordance with building regulations, IE, IM and Capital Investments policy, standards, and procedures
- To act as s focus of safety in line with Capital Investments safety management system
- To manage, coordinate and control all projects and related activities
- To ensure consistent and constant communication with colleagues within your area
- To support and comply with the people management policy within the team
- To comply with corporate HR policies & procedures
- To lead and provide necessary support to staff to enable the execution of their role
- To manage the project(s) stakeholders to ensure expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle
- To support the DART+ Programme Director in the preparation of quarterly interim and annual stewardship reports
- To prepare & manage budgets, while accurately capturing all chargeable and non-chargeable items
- To undertake all activities in line with Iarnród Eireann governing procurement policies and procedures

Essential Requirements
- An Engineering or project Management degree
- Member of Engineers of Ireland or other relevant professional body
- Minimum 10 Years’ experience in project engineering or project management and delivery
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant general management and project management experience
- Demonstratable ability to produce and manage budgets.
Desirable
- A good working knowledge of railway infrastructure and systems and operations
- Knowledge of project management and cost management large-scale multidisciplinary Infrastructure / Capital Investment projects
- Knowledge of construction regulations
- Experience and understanding of safety assurance processes
- Demonstratable understanding of good project management procedures
