Procurement Executive
Location: Inchicore

Applications are invited for the position of Procurement Executive in Iarnród Éireann.
The Procurement Executive will manage the operational delivery, on behalf of the Procurement Management Team, fulfilling the requirements of the allocated projects.
In addition, the Procurement Executive will provide the following services:
- Enhancing procurement standards of excellence throughout the business, inputting into the strategic framework on how the procurement department can deliver value to business stakeholders
- Enhancing the commercial focus of procurement activities by identifying and drawing on synergies across functions/business units as well as using market insight to enhance the internal knowledge base.
This person should be confident and commercially minded while able to demonstrate an analytical mindset, with excellent attention to detail and resilient negotiation skills.
Key Requirements
- 3-5 years purchasing experience with experience in good sourcing practice and processes
- Experience in stakeholder management, influencing and engagement
- Demonstratable strong Microsoft skills
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communications skills with previous supplier and/or direct customer experience.
- A team player who excels in a collaborative environment.
- Project Management skills
- Relevant Professional / Academic Qualifications
Essential
- Experience in a busy purchasing environment.
- Operation of a Purchasing ERP system (preferably SAP MM module although not essential).
- A professional qualification in Procurement/Strategic Sourcing is essential.
Desirable
- Background in public procurement desirable
- CIPS / IIPMM relevant qualification
