Security Enforcement and Compliance Manager
Are you an experienced Security Deployment Manager with an extensive leadership experience in policing/security environment? Do you have a working knowledge of law enforcement and prosecutions particularly in Republic of Ireland? Do you have working knowledge of community engagement and/or public safety? Do you hold a relevant post graduate degree and have experience of working in the security/policing environment? Do you have experience of major event/emergency management?
If yes, there is an exciting opportunity of Security Enforcement and Compliance Manager with Iarnród Éireann/Irish Rail.
The Security Enforcement and Compliance Manager will manage and co-ordinate public security in IÉ supervised command and control monitoring centre. They will review security incidents and trends and recommend/implement strategies to reduce anti-social behaviour and crime. The role holder will develop the co-ordination of IÉ enforcement and prosecution of offences and bye-laws under the Railway Safety Act 2005 (excluding section 132) and breaches of CIÉ bye-laws 1984 in co-operation with CIÉ Group Solicitors Office.
An important aspect of this role will be working collaboratively with IÉ Customer Experience and Infrastructure Managers and contracted security firms to reduce security incidents at stations, on-board and at other Iarnród Éireann/Irish Rail locations. Working closely with local Garda management in the management of relevant security related matters including joint crime prevention and enforcement initiatives will be a key feature of the role.

It is essential that applicants have extensive leadership experience in policing/security management i.e. deployment strategies with a working knowledge of law enforcement and prosecutions particularly in the Republic of Ireland.
They must have a minimum of 5 years working at leadership level in policing/security environment.
They must also have the ability or experience to work with local communities in liaison with IÉ District Managers and Local Garda Management in identifying opportunities for Crime and ASB reduction initiatives.
Assessments and a competency-based interview will form part of this selection process. Candidates may be shortlisted based on experience and/or application/CV.
